Walk-In Disentanglement
Rich first read about walk-ins in Ruth Montgomery’s Strangers Among Us. Years later he encountered Jaden Fox’s work — entity clearing, a list of walk-in signs, and a process for disentangling a transition that may not have finished cleanly.
He went through the list himself. He ran the process on himself. Then he saw the obvious: the method was written so a skilled person could work through it alone. Most people do not have forty years of entity work in their hands.
So Rich offers the session.

In the walk-in framework Rich works with, one consciousness may have agreed to leave and another to arrive. The transition is described as a process rather than an instant switch — sometimes hours, sometimes weeks, sometimes longer.
For people who resonate with this model, the useful question is not simply, “Am I a walk-in?”
It is:
Did the transition complete cleanly, or does something still feel unfinished?
When a transition feels incomplete, people sometimes describe a sense of two identities, two directions, old emotional material that no longer feels like theirs, or a life that changed dramatically but never quite settled.
Some also describe the possibility of another presence becoming involved during the transition.
Rich approaches those possibilities as something to explore with the client rather than assuming the answer before the session begins.
Find out whether the walk-in framework fits what you’re experiencing, whether there appears to be an unfinished transition, and what still feels entangled — so you can live more fully as the person you experience yourself to be now, without old patterns continuing to run the day.
(Adapted from the list Rich originally used in his own exploration)
If a number of these land strongly, they may be worth looking at more closely:
- You are on a spiritual path or awakening journey.
- Odd things in your life that you can’t quite think about.
- Incomplete childhood memories — pieces missing, little or no feeling on them.
- Dramatic life changes: career, relationship, location, name.
- Times of wanting to be done here, of not wanting to be in this life.
- Periods when nothing mattered.
- Not sure who you are. Life feels confusing.
- Passions and interests gone flat.
- Less connected to family and friends than you used to be.
- A major accident or illness, then the whole life changed.
- You keep trying to make the biography make sense. It doesn’t.
- Being born as a baby sounds like too much work.
- You retell the old stories and they have no charge on them.
- Hard to decide, choose, create, or find direction.
- “A part of me wants to — another part doesn’t.”
For some people working within the walk-in framework, the “not wanting to be here” item is interpreted as part of an unfinished transition.
Rich treats it as a clue to explore, not a verdict about what is happening.
Within walk-in and entity-work traditions, people sometimes describe possibilities such as:
- an earlier identity or “walk-out” that still feels present
- a newer identity that still feels connected to the previous one
- more than one major identity transition layered over time
- an unwanted third-party presence or intrusive influence associated with the transition
The session is about sorting what, if anything, fits your experience.
- You talk — when things changed, what shifted, and what still feels divided or unfinished.
- Rich helps locate the timeline of the changeover and the experiences surrounding it.
- Together you explore what still appears emotionally, psychologically, spiritually, or energetically entangled.
- Then you work with whatever seems to be holding the transition in place — release, disengagement, boundaries, communication, or entity-work techniques when appropriate.
Bird’s-eye view:
name the transition → find the tangle → work toward completing what feels unfinished
For people who resonate strongly with the walk-in framework, this can sometimes be surprisingly clean work.
There may be a clear transition point. There may be old material that no longer fits. There may be a very specific sense of what needs to be released.
It is still a session, not a spell.
If the situation feels layered or complicated, more than one session may be useful.
The goal is not to force a theory onto you.
The goal is to leave with a clearer sense of who you are now, what belongs to you, what does not, and what you can do next.
